Mite Development Program Overview

Islanders Mite Development Program

"The Foundation of Islander Hockey"

The Islander Mite Development Program is the foundation of how great Islander hockey teams are built and how players start off correctly in the game of hockey. The MDP is a program designed for players with a good skating foundation that are looking to further develop their skills and also enjoy the game in a fun but productive atmosphere. Players will be prepared to compete in the Eastern Hockey Federation, New Englands top youth league and one of the country's best, as a first year mite by participating in the MDP model which touches on all of the necessary skills that produce well rounded players. The MDP strives for the same level of success that the Islanders push for at all levels, from Mites up to Juniors.
