Thank-you from IHC President Richard Gallant

To Islander Players and Families,

On behalf of the Islander Organization I would like to thank all who participated in making yesterday a wonderful event.  I was particularly pleased at all the coaches and parents who came and helped lead all these children on this undertaking.

Peter Drucker, an Austrian-Hungry scholar who is best described as “the founder of modern management” sums up leadership as the “lifting a person's vision to high sights, the raising of a person's performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations.”  The Autism Cause is one way that we as parents and as an Islander Organization are able to help bring about a higher sense of purpose for all the Islander Players.

Last year we had several weeks of additional funds raised after the walk as people found out about our efforts so it is not too late for anyone to participate.  The organization will begin the tallying process this week.   We have prizes for the top 3 teams and top 3 fundraisers which will be announced at the completion of the tallying process.

Thanks again for everyone's help and generosity.
